Comparing the Two Date Wheels
There are two date wheels used in the mechanical generation of SEIKO World Time watches from 1964 to 1976. Both are white with black printing.
The first was introduced on the 6217-7000 in 1964, and was also used on the 6217-7010 models, including the Asian Games special edition, the 1967 re-edition of the Olympic torch case back, and the standard versions produced in 1967.
The second date wheel was introduced in 1968 with the release of the 6117-6010 and the 6117-6019 models, and were subsequently used on all 6117-640X models through the end of production in 1976.

Essentially some of dates will look like they are not quite level / flat in the simulated date window. This (of course) should never be the case on an actual watch! The general shape of the font used for each number is not affected and should still be helpful for validation and/or comparison purposes.
